.....Feast your eyes on some of the most inspiring art from the life and times of Peggy Lipschutz...aka evanstonlegend from Evanston, IL.  Peggy is an artist with tremendous social activism as part of her creative journey.  She resides in Evanston and her next BIG show is on Sunday, October 4, 2015.  The show is being sponsored by the City of Evanston and  produced by Prosperity Plus II² class facilitated by Rev. Sandy Diamond and 7 Sisters Society.

This next show is a retrospective, honoring her life's work.  She is an amazing artist and a truly incredible  human being who has (and continues to) made a big difference in our world.

The City of Evanston and the Evanston Arts Council are sponsoring a show of the paintings and drawings of Peggy Lipschutz.  The show is being produced by Prosperity Plus II² (a class facilitated by Rev. Sandy Diamond and supported by this all female group's tithing of their time, talent, and treasure!) Peggy is known for her iconic paintings of singer songwriters hanging in the Old Town School of Folk Music and her performance drawings of "Songs You Can See" to songs of musicians such as Pete Seeger, Fred Holstein, Rebecca Armstrong and Kristen Lems.  

The Opening Reception will be held October 4, 2015 from 2:00 - 5:00 p.m. at 927 Noyes Street, Evanston, Il. 60201. Weekend events in support of the show will be held October 10th and 18th.  A special Closing Event with musical performances will be held November 1, 2015 from 2:00 - 5:00 p.m.  Musicians performing at the Opening Reception and Closing Event will include Rebecca Armstrong, Peggy Browning & Maura Lally, Mark Dvorak and Kristen Lems. Admission to all events is free.

Artist Peggy Lipschutz has invited her musician friends to be part of her BIG show!  These include some great musical friends from Chicago's Old Town School of Music as mentioned. Friends such as...Rebecca Armstrong, Peggy Browning & Maura Lally, Mark Dvorak, and Kristin Lems. These special friends will be present at her opening on October 4, and the show's closing on Nov. 1, 2015.
