World March of Women
We derive strength from our feminist alternatives. We believe that there can be no peace under systemic oppression. We will continue to fight the oppressive apparatus of neofascism and pursue our struggle for popular sovereignty and true justice. This 8 March, we will honour and amplify the struggle of our sister Yanar Mohammed, who was murdered in Iraq this week.

New UK Green MP Ambushed by Far Right

Newly-elected Green MP Hannah Spencer was ushered into a police car after she was confronted by anti-trans activists following her appearance at an anti-far right demonstration. The pro-LGBTQ+ Gorton and Denton MP, who gave the Greens their first ever by-election victory last month, beat out Reform’s Matt Goodwin and Labour’s Angeliki Stogia with just under 41 per cent of the vote.

Women’s groups marked this year’s International Women’s Day with a clear message: Justice for victims of sexual violence can only be achieved when perpetrators — especially those in positions of power — are held accountable. Members of World March of Women-Pilipinas placed mock “perpetrators” inside a makeshift jail to dramatize their demand for accountability.
