When CBS, NBC and ABC cut away from President Donald Trump’s news conference at the White House on the evening of Nov. 5, they took pains to explain why they were shutting off the nation’s commander-in-chief.
The divisions reflected a persistent polarization that appeared to be driven in part by voters’ strong feelings about the provocative president. About two-thirds of all voters said their decision was about Trump — either for or against.

Speeches from candidates conceding defeat in past US elections have been resurfacing after Donald Trump’s latest address as the 2020 result looms.
But Trump’s power is wavering, and he can no longer control the narrative. As he spoke, NBC News and MSNBC cut in to note that he was lying. After he finished, other media outlets also pushed back.
Chairman of Trump’s Wisconsin campaign and former Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker tweeted that it is unlikely a recount would change Trump’s fortunes in the state.
