May Day will be a national demonstration that will polarize today’s struggle not along resentful, racist lines of immigrant vs. “native”, but along the class-struggle lines of workers vs. billionaires.

The super rich are in command, as Donald Trump and Elon Musk run a rampage on the working class. To stop them, the labor movement needs to lead.

Amazon workers participated in pickets or short strikes in December. The strikes were in limited locations but a real test of capacity for a growing movement.

The electric vehicle sector is growing fast, and auto companies have been using the transition as an excuse to open non-union plants. Organizing them is do-or-die for the UAW.

The Teamsters are spinning off momentum from recent organizing fights to new battle fronts across Amazon’s logistics chain.

Amazon workers at the JFK8 fulfillment center on Staten Island, New York, voted to elect reform officers in the first-ever leadership election.

After organizing a stewards network, engaging in strikes, and building multiracial solidarity, workers at an Amazon fulfillment center in central England are deciding whether to form a union. Results are expected on July 17.

Amazon workers will soon vote on their union leadership. The mail-in ballots go out June 27 with a return deadline of July 18. The American Arbitration Association is running the vote.

This week, Amazon drivers organized with the Teamsters in Skokie, Illinois, went on strike over the company’s violations of labor law. The workers are demanding Amazon recognize and bargain with their union.
