The law of war prohibits “acts or threats of violence the primary purpose of which is to spread terror among the civilian population.” It is difficult to read Trump’s egregious threats of destruction as anything but intending to spread terror.
An upstate New York industrial development agency is offering tax breaks worth $801 million - with more subsidies likely on the way - to create just 125 jobs at a business park, an example of corporate giveaways around the country.

Trump’s draconian immigration enforcement is harming all workers. The theory was simple: remove immigrant workers, and native-born U.S. citizens would fill those open positions. Well, the results are in, and the opposite is happening.
As left activists who choose electoral work, we can both maintain ideological clarity while also remaining politically pragmatic. That can be done. In the difficult times we now find ourselves in, that must be done.
