The Global Sumud Flotilla the latest humanitarian mission to try to breach Israel’s maritime blockade of Gaza drew around 500 participants from nearly 50 countries. Israeli forces intercepted the mission in international waters on Wednesday evening.
CAIR said that they "have taken a bold and necessary step by confronting the Israeli-manufactured and US-backed humanitarian calamity in Gaza head-on. Their mission must not stand alone."
Palestinians do not only have to fear loss of life, a collapsed health care system and economy: They also have to fear Israel’s daily actions in occupied territory.
'We want to say to everyone that enough is enough' - 200 people took part in the "reverse flotilla" which set off from Gaza City where a portion of the boats crossed the six-mile maritime boarder, which is enforced by Israeli Defense Forces, before returning to shore.
