At his hearing, Blanche gave senators clear evidence that he conspired to create a bogus, illegal deal to enrich the boss and impoverish the public. The slush fund and the tax amnesty are both very much in play.

The president’s slush-fund-and-tax-penalty “settlement” is brazenly criminal. If our governing institutions can’t block it, America will officially be a banana republic.
It is difficult to estimate the White House’s off-the-books revenue. There’s no comprehensive public accounting of this money, only dubious assertions from administration officials and President Trump’s social media posts. He is raking in billions.
