As Harris vows to tackle grocery store prices, the grocery chains are doing everything they can to bypass regulators and merge into a price-gouging behemoth.
“Monopolies not only have economic power, but use that power to buy political power,” she tells The Lever’s David Sirota.
The real source of too many price hikes is concentrated market power, not macroeconomic overheating.
