An open letter to Amnesty International, by former Amnesty International Prisoner of Conscience Camilo E. Mejia, on the violence gripping his native Nicaragua. Through this letter I express my unequivocal condemnation of Amnesty International.

With the ousting of Mugabe, many see the possibility for restoring democracy.

In the 1960s, a group of leftists risked everything to revive the anti-apartheid movement in South Africa. The speakers and the workshops at the Labor Notes conference celebrated labor's new potential both in fighting the boss and becoming more active in pro-worker electoral struggles. The 2,000 or more participants overfilled the Hilton Hotel and spread out into two other nearby venues.
