Haiti’s current form of “checkpoint governance” represents a structural transformation in how politics works in the country. What defines Haiti now is an impasse—a condition of blockage and immobility that traps millions in place.
It’s time for a national information campaign against ICE and for those physically able to come up with strategies to non-violently confront these jack-booted tin soldiers in their street operations. The demand to disband ICE must be a priority.
