Progressive critics warn failure to bolster the unemployment system during the pandemic "is a shocking dereliction of responsibility."

Millions of jobless workers are set to lose critical unemployment benefits in roughly 72 hours—and neither Congress nor the Biden administration seem prepared to do anything about it.

By striking down the CDC's eviction moratorium, said one critic, the Supreme Court "sided with rich corporate landlords that are itching to kick out vulnerable families."
